Hi. Do you want to hear a story? Um, so, the other night I was having dinner, and my mom, she gave me too much, and I tried really hard, but I couldn't eat it. And I felt really bad because I learned in school that there's these kids in other parts of the world, and they don't have enough to eat or anything at all, and it makes them really sick, and they can't even go to school.

I asked my mom what to do, and she told me about the World Food Program, and how they want to end child hunger by 2015. It's one of the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations. The World Food Program has full feeding centers all over the world. This makes it easier for poor families to send their kids to school. The kids can then get healthy and strong, and they get an education, which will help them grow up and become adults that can have jobs and grow their own food so their kids won't get hungry.

It only costs 19 cents a day to feed a child in this program. I found that the other day just in the bottom of our couch. My mom and I decided to join people all over the world in an international walk against hunger called Walk the World. You can find out more on the Fight Hunger Web site.

We're working to end child hunger, and you can, too. Visit fighthunger.org. Together we can end hunger all over the world and give every kid a chance for a bright future.
