Agricultural Assistance

More than a billion people in the world today subsist on less than $1 a day, the majority living in rural areas. Farmers in developing countries must continually increase their production efficiency to meet the nutritional needs of a growing world population.

The United States supports farmers and their organizations, agricultural scientists, agribusinesses seeking to develop new, profitable markets, governments providing sound legal business frameworks, and educational institutions working to manage available natural resources for sustainable production.
