Developing Infrastructure


Infrastructure development related to transportation, water supply, sanitation, energy, and communication, is a vital input into development. It is the fundamental investment backbone for the private sector, essential for delivering social services, strengthening regional integration, and vital for countries coming out of conflict.

The United States encourages its partners to give attention to infrastructure development, including strengthening policy frameworks and building institutional capacity to manage infrastructure investments.
