Judith & Emerita

Judith and Emerita
As you travel around New York City, it’s hard to miss the smiling faces of Judith Diaz-Sierra and Emerita de la Pena. You see the women -- Judith in her wedding dress, and Emerita holding a bouquet -- in the 34th Street subway, alongside a building in Chinatown, and in front of St. Paul’s Chapel at Ground Zero. Like many of the missing who worked in the World Trade Center, the two women’s photos are posted around the city as an ominous reminder of happier times.
