Canada Loves New York
The hat hanging on the gate of St. Paul's Chapel says it all: Canada Loves New York. The Canadian government put together a special "Canada Loves New York" tour package to urge Canadians to visit New York the weekend of November 30 to December 2. A reported 20,000 Canadians came to the city that weekend. To honor America's friends to the north for all they are doing to help the people of New York, the Empire State Building was lit up in the white and red colors of the Canadian flag for an evening during their visit.
