Ana Cristan es especialista en programas para cooperación en catalogación en la Biblioteca del Congreso en Washington D.C. Ana Cristan is Specialist in Cooperative Cataloging Programs at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. Please join Ana Cristan for a USINFO Webchat in which she will describe international programs in cooperative cataloging. She will also describe opportunities for Latin American librarians to participate in cooperative cataloging programs.

La Maestra Cristan es especialista en Programas para Cooperación en Catalogación. Actualmente trabaja en la Oficina de Políticas en Catalogación de la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos. Estudió lingüística en la Universidad de Texas en El Paso e hizo sus estudios de posgrado en la Universidad de Texas en Austin y recibió el título de Maestra en Ciencias de la Información y Bibliotecología. Es miembro del American Library Association (ALA) y del Seminar on Acquisitions of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM).

Ana Cristan is Specialist in Cooperative Cataloging Programs at the Library of Congress, where she works in the Cataloging Policy and Support Office. She studied linguistics with a concentration in romance languages at the University of Texas at El Paso. She did her postgraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science. She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM).
